Artist's Comments

This is my roomie. We were wandering around trying to naviagte our way to St. Mark's place in NYC, and we got horribly lost, but found a fenced in graffitti heaven, so I took some pictures.

Here's one, cleaned, with the background desaturated, her shirt color changed, and her makeup re-touched.

Tho I could never live there, NYC makes me happy, and was definately what I needed to get my mind off things.

But don't worry I'll feel better after I sing this song.

Save me God oh help me now, I've got to get through this family situation some how.

Oh, we had a surpring amount of fun. Being lost in NYC is nothing like being lost in Jersey (which sucks). Of course, if it were at night, it might've been a slightly different story, since, as you can see, we weren't really in the nicest part of town.

My roomie has impeccable style. Her skirt was the bomb, but she had to be careful cuz the wind kept blowing it up a la Marilyn Monroe.

But yeah, it was sweet stuff.

Thanks!

You have some nice shots yourself!

I love her style, Mine is quite similar, But I don't have cloths like that, Ofcoarse I can't go blow money and get updated but I like stuff like that. so yeah.

She's got a neat style, that's for sure. I have to say, I wasted many years of my life living in black color-schemes of clothing, but have recently emerged into some color, and her crazy color coordinations are inspiring me to actually create a more unique style for myself.

You don't have to blow alot of money to update your style - especially if it's kinda retro, like hers. We tend to go shopping at a bunch of thrift shops, where shirts are like $3 and pants are $5. I found a pair of knee-high fetish boots (the kind you'd expect to find at Hot Topic for $150) for $18 there. I would've bought them too, but they were a size too small. ;_;

I really need to get my hands on a sewing machine, some fabric, and patterns. Then I'd be set.

Same here,

Thanks for telling me about thrift stores, I never thought about doing that.
I'll keep that in mind ;)

Thrift stores are awesome to the max.

But DIY clothing is the best, if you're confident in your sewing skills...
